0.5l bottle. This is a really oily black beer with a small bubbly dark brown top. It really does not smell like I expected it to. Was hoping for some nice chocolate, but this is more old and almost rotten in a way. What is wrong with this? It's really sweet and strange! Not directly sour, but it smells like old sweetened bread bag that has been soaked in water and left in room temperature for a long time with added roasted malts. I do not particulary enjoy this aroma, but hopefullt the flavor is a bit brighter. Hmm.. It's below average on the carbonation with a soft oily mouthfeel. No, I don't particularly like the flavor either. It's sour and roasty with sweet fudge-like chocolate and a slightly burned and diacetyl infused finish. So sour that I suspect there is something wrong with the bottle. Bah, not my cup of stout, and I'm not even sure I'll bother finishing the bottle, but it's one of a kind! I'll give it that.. Sampled from a 0.5l bottle @ Henrik. A really deep and dark brown looking one with a lacing dark brown head. Really nice sweetish chocolate nose. Like milk chocolate blended with wood and roasted malts. It has this strong coffee acidity in the taste. Almost like it has been on wood or barrels containing red wine. Tannin, dark roasted nuts and dark bitter chocolate. It had this nice gliding feeling in the mouth and it's soft on the carbonation. Lots of flavor here, sweet but not too sweet at all just, well flavorful! 13.02.2014

Bottle - black pour with beige head. Sweet and roasted malty aroma and taste, strong chocolate prominence, some coffee, dark fruits, malty finish.

Botella 33 cl tomada en Cimmeria en octubre 2014. (r106). Con fcpref para 26..02..2015. Stout ligera y fácil de beber. No está mal.

Lukt: Søtlig duft av ost, mugg og vanilje.
Utseende: Sort.
Skum/kullsyre: Nesten ikke skum, ring langs kant.

Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is smooth with mild fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, no roast here. A sweet tang. Little dry chocolate. Mild fruits, well buried. Light finish. Not a chocolate bomb, but a pleasantly mild and sweet stout.

Sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner brauner Schaumkrone. Geruch süß röstmalzig, viel Schokolade und Kaffee. Geschmack süß schokoladig, Vanille, Karamell, viel Kaffee im Abgang, lecker!

500ml bottle at home, from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget. Concrete, noisy, tan-coloured foam with a solid stand. Almost black with a deep reddish shade to it. Not much lace. Earth malty smell with a rich chocolate touch. Dark malty flavours, chocolate and liquorice, hints of lactose, offset by hop bitterness. Well-rounded and soft in the mouth. Pretty nice (Tromsø 02.10.2014).

Bottle, 5.8%. Good chocolate aroma. Hint of smoke? Black colour with a red shine, seems clear. Small semi-double light brown head. The flavour is sweet with a good dose of lactose. Mild coffee note. Dark bready and nicely sweet.
