Thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Looks really good in the glass. Roasty malty aroma. Starts strong, malty, roasty, not too intense. Some woody-earthy notes. Finish milder, less roasty, soft-malty. Mild sweetness. Nice!

On tap at The Malted Barley, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out light toasted malt and a touch of coffee. Flavour is somewhat fruity, with red fruits, subdued coffee and some toasted malt. The coffee is a little deficient, but it works alright. Decent.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A dark reddish brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, some sweet chocolate. Taste of sweet mild roasted dark malt, coffee, sweet toffee, quite nice!

Many thanks to Peter (pdog555) for this bottle! The nose is dry with lots of roast and coffee in the back. The beer starts very smooth and mild. Nice depth with round coffee beans there, not too bitter with a mild roast. Smooth mild, not too roasted or too bitter, but a bit too soft in everything. The aftertaste wi round and smooth, nice coffee there, mild and sessionable. But I miss something distinctive a bit - the beer seems too mild and mainstream.

Very dark with the expected coffee aroma. Very smooth taste, hints of dark chocolate and, obviously, coffee. Elements of this remind me of a stout or a really dark red wine. I have the sneaking suspicion this would pair well with fruit.

Black with a tall tan head. Aroma is coffee and roasted malts with some vanilla and light earth tones. Medium creamy body. Flavor follows the aroma with a higher amount of noticeable vanilla, but not annoyingly so- this is not a vanilla porter, thankfully. Good balance of sweetness with coffee.

Enjoyed on tap at Thirsty First in Lowell, MA while on a tour, unfortunately didn’t take tasting notes while I had this, but I remember this being very good, dry, and robust. Would have again.

Pours a nice brown black from a tap, aroma of light roasted aciic coffee beans is kind of washed out a bit in the mouth, a bit of nuts or chicory or something adding a not unpleasant non-coffee bitterness. Good beer.

On tap at Cork N Keg (Nitro version). Aroma is light roasted malts and coffee, subdued somewhat by large head. Appearance is attractive 2 finger-width off-white creamy head on top of opaque black liquid. Taste is as aroma--light-to-moderate roasted malt and coffee--not overpowering. Palate is medium bodied with creamy texture, soft carbonation and balance of lightly bitter and sweet finish. Overall, really enjoyable across the board.
