On tap at Cork N Keg (Nitro version). Aroma is light roasted malts and coffee, subdued somewhat by large head. Appearance is attractive 2 finger-width off-white creamy head on top of opaque black liquid. Taste is as aroma--light-to-moderate roasted malt and coffee--not overpowering. Palate is medium bodied with creamy texture, soft carbonation and balance of lightly bitter and sweet finish. Overall, really enjoyable across the board.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance is a dark brown/black body with a two finger foamy white head rises and gently subsides leaving some nice lightly foamy clingy lacing that eventually spider webs a bit.
The smell has espresso coffee, light chocolate, and some vanilla comes out as the beer warms.
The taste is bittersweet through the coffee and chocolate, vanilla is way more subdued with a malty aftertaste.
The palate is about a medium to heavy, shows a rich and smooth, sticky sweet finish, not as sessionable - good sipper.
Overall, this is probably one of the heavier porters out there. I still liked it, coffee forward - yes, but also has some nice complexities that come out to play, under-rated company - yes, awesome price $3.99 for a bomber.

Aroma is dominated by a nice coffee note. Behind the coffee is some nice milk chocolate and a bit of roast. A bit of dark fruit esters - cherry and fig but the coffee is really the highlight of the aroma. A touch of a vegetable note as it warms. Pours almost jet black with just a bit of brown on the edges. A moderately thick tan head that recedes fairly quickly leaving nice lacing on the edges of the glass. Flavor starts out sweet with chocolate and dark fruit. Once again the fruit is mostly cherries and figs but there is also a prune note. Mid palate you get some roast and then the coffee hits you as you swallow. Fairly mellow coffee flavor with some more chocolate notes. Low bitterness and medium low astringency. No hop flavor and no alcohol flavor. There is something in the flavor that bothers me though - I think it is the way the fruit from the esters is combining with the coffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and surprisingly creamy. Has medium carbonation and medium low astringency. Low alcohol warmth. Overall it's not a bad beer, but it's not amazing either. A bit sweet for me and the odd fruit and coffee mix in the end isn't great. The coffee aroma is quite nice though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

As Coffeehouse Porter in '13..smooth and the layer of coffee on top is pretty good, milky. Aftertaste is a bit more robust coffee-wise.

Bottle from micro beer stand at foxboro stadium as I was watching patriot game. Poured into large plastic cup I think 20oz of jet black goodness. Nice beige head and coffee nose. Tastes of coffee, cola, chocolate, earth and light cherry. Nice I’m excited there was decent beer here

Served on nitro at Julians, Providence. Pours a clear dark brown color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of rich coffee, roasted malts and chocolate. The taste is rich chocolate, coffee, vanilla, roasted malts, stone fruits and a mild hop finish. Medium bodied. Very nice beer.

65cl bottle, thanks to Lewis’s Mum. Pours opaque black with a red hue. A nicely proportioned crema head. The nose has dry coffee - like freshly ground but not made into the drink. The taste has creamy coffee with a hint of chocolate. The palate is medium to full bodied with a big creamy texture and an elegant finish.

Bottle shared by Evin and the Kernel crew, cheers guys! Hazy dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Light palate, semi soft and semi dry. Smooth coffee and dark chocolate in the dark malt. The coffee tastes like it’s hung around for awhile but is still potent. Semi dry finish. Minerals. Allright but I can’t help thinking it has a somewhat forced feel about it.
