Draft @ Taproom, Malmö. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity sour tart woody aroma. Fruity malty sour tart woody flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity sour tart caramel woody finish.

Small off-white head over deep dark ruby beer. Vinous, Morpheus yeast, dry sour fruit. Vinous flavours. Fruit, but with more sweetness than the nose would have let to believe. Lipsmacking acidity all the same. Sour fruit, unripe strawberries. Has a rich MF, certainly for a sour ale. Surprising. Feels better carbonated than it looks, slick. Good, no, better, but I'm surprised by the high fruity sweetness. 8/4/7/4/14

Borefts IX, Day 2. Keg. Hazy reddish amber beer, a few white bubbles for a head. Light and fairly dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Light caramel ripe stone fruits, getting sour. Little spice and then the caramel gets bitterish. Okay.

Vom Fass im Muted Horn Berlin 2018-01 getrunken. Die Jungs von Alvine und HotD haben hier ein super tolles Sour Ale hergestellt. Auch wenn die Aromen von dem HotD Fred Barley Wine durch die stimmigen sauren Aromen von Alvinnes Cuveé Freddy recht stark überlagen, bildet diese Version eine wunderbar spannende Aromakombination aus. Ein spitzen Ale!

[ As Alvinne / Hair of the Dog Fred Meets Freddy ].Clear medium to dark red amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, berries, tart, wood, wine, light red wine. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, berry - berries, wood, wine, caramel, dry. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, oak, grass, fruit stones, berry skin, bloodlike minerals, light malts, alcohol, sour red fruits. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, sour grass, bloodlike minerals, oak, bark, fruit stones, berry skin, sour red fruits, alcohol, soil. Medium to longlasting bitterness, sour-ish harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.
