Pale golden color. Frothy white head, very carbonated. Sweet malty nose with lots of fresh cereal notes. The mouth is sweet with stewed vegetables and cereal notes. Very carbonated. The beer is fairly fresh - I assume cold conditioned to Japan and technically sound but still not up to top level from Germany.

An attractive and tactile 33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A pale straw coloured pour with a thin white head and very light carbonation; bready aroma with hints of lemon and honey; smooth and grainy in the mouth, with sweet biscuity malts balanced with a grassy bitterness; and a crisp finish with a touch of spice. Nicely made beer in a nicely made bottle.

Bottle at the Sheepshank, Bangkok. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is lager malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light malty, light creamy, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

330ml bottle. Pours like a fizzy lager. Aroma is sharp, a little vegetal and some apple fruitiness. Flavour is vegetal, quite sharp, a little too savoury. It is a remarkably good interpretation of the helles style, but that’s not a great thing.

Okay head and yellow body. Cardboard lager aroma like we’ve seen ten thousand times before (or something. Yeah, I’m not up to ten thousand ratings, but it smells like that smell you get from lagers like this. So there). Flavour is mild and sharp, a bit of lemon, smoothness. Unintrusive. Drinkable. Forgettable.
