Draft at Craft. Strange but delicious. Aroma is really distinctive but difficult to pin down. Bit of a wet dog smell, but strangely enticing. Pale yellow colour with a small but consistent and long lasting white head. Taste gave sour cream and chive kettle chips or maybe something cheesy. Very strange. Only really got the bitterness at the end. Medium bodied, but could not really taste the alcohol. Very dangerous given the strength. Totally different experience to the other reviews on here by the look of it, but one that I am very keen to try again as soon as possible.

330 ml bottle, a gift from Mr. Papsø himself, thanks! BB date was 12.2012. Very cloudy brownish-yellow colour, low white head. First a surprisingly fresh hoppy aroma, notes of lemongrass and dill, then some stale malty notes. Intense Sorachi Ace flavour, strong notes of dill, also lemon grass. Bittter finish. I love Sorachi Ace, but wonder if Mr. Papsø and his brewer friends have gone too far here?

Cloudy amber beer, good white head with a pink tint. Fairly neutral palate. Creamy lemon Sorachi turns spicy - pepper with some grapefruit underneath. Trace of peach and a whisper of herb. Bitterness builds until it reaches quite a bitter finish. Delicious. Love the complexity of Sorachi and this is another fab Sorachi beer from Ryan.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy golden color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of floral and light citrus notes dominating. Taste is also dominated by floral hops with some herbal notes typical of Sorachi hops. Malt backbone is there to support the hops onslaught and is not too sweet or too caramel-like to reduce the hops intensity. Well brewed and quite enjoyable even if Sorachi are not my favourite hops.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. A special thanks to Henrik for sharing this beer and inviting me to his ticker fest! Cloudy, golden orange appearance with a small-ish white head. Tangy, pineapple, light white wine, grapefruit, somewhat herbal aroma. Fairly bitter, big floral and grapefruit hoppy flavor with a lighter citrusy sweetness and notes of lemon and coconut. Fun stuff. Thanks Snopp Doggy Papsø.

Bottled, thanks Papsoe! Cloudy golden, small head. Vinous coconut aroma.Sweet and fruity with medium-full body. Buttery withlots of coconut and citrus. Perfumy and quity intense with long bitterness. Not really complex, but with a flavour that grabs you by the horns and frags you away.

Flaske 0,33l spandert av Rune og delt hjemme hos ham 26 Jan 12. Gyldenbrun. Uklar. Høyt luftig skum som fester seg til glasset. Aroma av frukt & fjøs. Egentlig ganske god. Smaken er sitrus & kirsebær. Velbalansert. Avslutter tørt & litt syrlig. Godt øl.

330ml bottle received from Papsoe at Ølfestivalen in Copenhagen 2011, many thanks. Very hazy, golden body. Permanent white tophead, spotty lace. Floral-fruity hops to the nose, semi-dry. Compact fruit hoppy taste added by spices. Fruit-bitter tail. Rounded on the swallow. Full bodied. A treat to drink this one (shared with Finn in Tromsø 26.01.2012).

Sweet trade extra from stobbe74, thanks Soeren. It pours clear deep gold with off white head. The modest aroma offers up spicy hops that run headlong into floral hop notes and rose garden with faint lemon like nuances around the edges. The flavor has a firm mix of spicy hops, floral hops and lemon lime like notes. It is just a bit too floral for my liking. Maybe I shouldn’t have had Neither just prior to this one. Neither was awesome.

12oz bottle from Papso himself. Looks like pineapple juice in the glass, translucent orangey yellow with a thin, lacing white head. Very grassy, lemony aroma, some honey, sticky pine needles, some tropical fruit. Flavor is similar, very grassy, the Sorachi ace had a hard lemony kick, whole hop cones, a little green vegetable, honeycomb. Full bodied, sweet bitter finish. Just enough sweetness that it doesn’t crush your palate.
