2011-07-13, draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 8-3-8-5-17=41
Cloudy straw-yellow color; medium sized head. The aroma of Sorachi Ace is very strong, it comes with plenty of citrus fruits (bergamot, cedar...), tropical fruits, perfumy soap, cream. The body is lean, the mouthfeel quite dry; good understated dry malt flavor, some sweetness comes through later; strong hopping with a very nice lemony character and notes of cedar; long final. It actually hides very well, the high gravity.
Very good refreshing brew.

Cloudy deep blond color. The hop aroma is strong; it’s fresh, citrus fruits, bergamot, peach, passion fruit. Good body structure, and luckily the sweetness is very moderate; malt and toffee flavor; the hop is very resiny, piney, with a strong bergamot character.
Very good for the lean profile and the freshness.

08/05 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Marko, who got it from Papsoe himself, great thanks to both of them! It poured hazy golden body with small head. Orange hop aroma with vanilla malt base. Fine bitterish flavor, citrus and herbal hops with weaker, mosly pale malt like vanilla and biscuit. Tasty, medium bodied, while alcohol is really well hidden. Nice bitterish citrus finish. Pretty good thing for hopheads, interesting experience.

Cloudy yellow, smooth white head. hoppy bubblegum aroma, also some grapefruit, sweet malts, flowery note. powerfull aroma, but no hints of alc. so alc. well hidden. flavor is citrussy hoppiness, mild grapefruity bitterness, sweet malts, flowers, mild boozy bitterness from alc, End is bitter from hops. notes of red bubblegum. in fact very hoppy, but the hop intensity is spread out between bitterness, flowers and candy, so hits you in a broad range of flavors.Beer has a sold sweet malty base that suits the rest well.

On tap at the CP&K. It pours hazy yellow with a thick yellow-white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is grass, pine toilet cleaner, lemon, lime, fennel and bubblegum. The taste is tangy lemon and lime, grass, fennel, metal, orange and bubblegum, with a long grassy, dry finish. I have to admit I don’t like this hop very much, the weird mix of fennel and bubblegum just doesn’t sit right.
