Die im Jahr 2007 kreierte erste Krefelder Heimatmarke ist eine ausgeprägt milde Variante des niederrheinischen Altbieres und zeichnet sich geschmacklich durch dezent nussige und malzige Noten aus, die von einem feinherben Hopfenfinish abgerundet werden. 0.33 l bottle from 'ProBierShop.com', best before December 2021. Clear, ruby with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, minimally fruity aroma of caramel, some burnt sugar and light raisins. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter taste of caramel, burnt sugar, some nuts and light raisins, followed by a short, gently bitter, quite dry, minimally metallic finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Below average Alt, nicely malty but that's about it.

On tap. Malzig im Antrunk, etwas wässrig im Hauptteil, trocken und süffig. Nachgeschmack etwas süßlich, leicht herb-malzig. trocken.

Herber und eher trockener Beginn, in dem röstige Malzaromen höchstens halbherzig vorhanden sind. Auch im Anschluss stellt das Malz nicht unbedingt den Höhepunkt des Bieres dar, trockene Bitternoten sind vorhanden, das Bier ist hohl und hat jegliche Attraktivität, sofern überhaupt vorhanden, verloren. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, dark malt notes, moderate hoppy, metalic - galvanised notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, metalic. Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a clear, dark amber body and a small, off-white head. Bready nose with some fruityness. The flavor too is on the bready side, some fruityness and a touch of bitterness shines through. Medium body, smooth carbonation. Some metallic notes in the bready finish. Not a very interesting altbier, but sure drinkable. 110416
