This mid-brown coloured session bitter has a wonderful aroma of caramel, roasted malt with a hint of smokiness and dried fruit. This beer has a smooth and full mouthfeel whilst the initial taste is of intense nutty malt sweetness which then gives way to a distinct smokiness imparted by the crystal and dark malts. This is followed by and balanced with a long lingering spicy and pine hinted aftertaste chockfull of English hops.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a clear, amber body under a small, off-white head. Weak nose with something cellar like. Mostly fruity though. The flavor has a touch of coffee or at least something smoked. Fruity, slightly bitter and malty. Medium to full body with pleasant carbonation. A nice one, sort of boring aroma, but with a pleasant flavor that surprised a bit with itโ€™s smoked or roasted touch. 110415
