Bottled (backlog). Amber colour, small white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel, mild toffee, some fruity, floral and earthy notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, some caramel, mild toffee as well as some toasted notes. OK, but quite thin, and also a bit "too standard".

Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. It pours an almost clear body, amber in color and with a finger-thick off-white head. Mostly hoppy aroma, leaving little room for the maltyness. Citrus peel, resins. A bit boring actually. The flavor has maltyness tending towards caramel, and citrusy, grassy hops. Bitter finish with citrus peel. Full-bodied and dryish on the palate, pleasant carbonation. Well, far from bad this one, but sort of ordinary. 110528

Bottled. Cloudy copper colour, rich head. Aroma of lychee, spices and caramel. Sweet and near full bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Really hoppy and super bitter with lods of resin. A hop bomb.

Draft. A deep red beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops as well as medium notes of caramel and malt, leading to a very bitter finish. Not my favorite hop sort.

At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy deep golden to amber colour. Summit hops were a new aquaintance for me, and they are clearly present in both aroma and flavour of this brew. Fruity (grapefruit, peaches) and resinous notes, with a bitter and moderately sharp finish. IBU was said to be 111, but the beer felt not that extreme. Very drinkable, and my interest in trying Summit hops in homebrew has increased.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours cloudy and almost opaque amber with a rough off-white head. A little caramel and a whiff of peaches in the nose. Quite full-bodied, a little fruit and caramel with a fairly raw and brutal bitterness. I really don’t think that Summit hops is all that suited for a single hop beer. 120511
