4.5/10 Appearance 4 Aroma 6 Flavor 4 Texture 4 Overall 4
Cloudy red amber with chunks of yeast, even in the first pour from the 750ml bottle. Initial aroma is big on sour green apple fruitiness, and doughy yeastiness. This fades into a light yeastiness. Flavor is a combination of heavy malt sweetness that has not been cut by sufficient adjuncts to lighten the body up, nor enough carbonation to get it across the palate. There’s a tart fruity sourness in there, hinting at green apples and tart cherries. Finish is wet and too sweet. A touch harsh. Unbalanced and not very drinkable, with a somewhat syrupy body.
