Bottle from Café Derat, Utrecht. Lots of oak in the aroma with malt, wine, cognac, overripe fruits, caramel, red grapes, toffee. Flavour is sweet with a fairly dry finish. Body is above medium. Nice and rich with lots of wood and barrel notes.

Bottle. Cloudy brown, small light beige head. Woody, vinous aroma, red wine and stale grass... Sourish flavour, wood and wine, unfortunately some more of those moldy, stale grass notes. Eventually they fade a bit, leaving sole sweet red wine instead.

250ml bottle. Hazy. amber-ish, brown colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Intense, tart-ish, yeasty fruity and woody, slightly vinous aroma, notes of morello, cherry, blue grapes. dark berries. Taste is initially minimally watery tart, fruity, slightly yeasty spicy, the later active caramel malty basis brings a good deal of residual sweetness and supports the already present fruitiness in excellent way, notes morello, cherry, some plum, hints of blue grapes and dark berries, notes of caramel and toffee; slightly dry, vinous, woody finish.

Gushing in the best BBP style to a huge head, reduced to a rim in 20 flat. Veiled red-brown beer. Sourish, vinous nose, red wine, winegrapes. Lactic acid. Nice! Wry, dry bitterness with nothing to remedy but a vinous (again red wine) backgroun. Thankfully, the vinosity gets stronger gradually, fighting the conflicting, near-medicinal bitterness, but the last never vanishes. Finish has overripe grapes, but it ain't pourriture noble! Astringent, wry. Thinnish body, spritzy carbonation. If I were really bad (OK, I am), I'd state it is a pity to waste good Côte de Nuits or Chalonnaise casks...

Bottled march 15th 2017. Tiny gusher. Smells like sour strawberry candy, very fruity. Taste starts fruity, before going very woody and a bit dusty. Seems a bit thin, but lingers very well. Bitter'ish, old wine, red fruit. Carbonation. Very subtle, lots of tiny flavors running around. Complex and interesting, fun and quite tasty. After warming gets sweeter with more candy.
