Cask @ GBBF 2010, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100804]

From cask. Pours clear and golden amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity and butterish. Roasted malty and quite fruity hoppy. Bitter and butterish finish.

[Cask at the Cumberland Hotel, Alston] Smells almost stout-like, with coffee and malt aromas. Flavour gives toffee followed by a leafy, hoppy bitterness that doesn’t sit well with the pleasant aroma. Disappointing.

Bottled (from Utobeer, London). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some slight zesty notes as well. Flavour is quite much the same with a rather bittery finish.

Reading 06 BF cask gravity. Reddish brown colour. Quite malty, red malt. Red berry flavour, bit of white choc. I like the malitness of this. Nice enough ESB
