Fra cask på Montague Pike, velfortjent etter et par timer i British Museum: mørke mahogny med ok skum. Deilig maltaroma og smak med litt lakris, kaffe, overmodne bjørnebær og brente brødskorper. Tørr og lang avslutning.

Cask at Bree Louise. Jet black with a thick creamy beige head. Aroma is very hoppy, pine and floral, but with a hint of perfume. Taste is satisfyingly bitter, hint of pepper and slight smokiness. Nice bitter finish. Slightly disconcerting perfumey after taste was a bit off putting, but still quite nice. Very smooth in the mouth. --- Beer merged from original tick of Conqueror on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Pours dark brown, topped with thin and nonlasting beige head. Blackcurrant nose with some milder chocolate, slight roadty note. Moderately bitter with some fruity sweetness and black currant. Quite light body. Decent though not special.
