Bottle. It’s clear, dark golden beer topped by a fingerthick off-white to beige head leaving cute lacings. Toffee, some dried fruits and a faint citrusy touch blends nicely in the aroma. Some sweetness in the flavor, with some citrusy hops as well as toffee and some dried fruits. Smooth, medium to full body with a pleasant carbonation. Bitter finish. A nice one, definitely not worth the price, but besides that it’s nice. 120914

Bottle. Pours clear ruby amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, hops and caramel. Bitter, hoppy onset, giving way to a sweetish, malty body, terminating dry. Decent.

Bottle, 5.5%. Slow gusher. Rough hop aroma. Light chestnut colour. Small tan head. The flavour has a rough bitterness like the aroma suggests. Clean bitterness, but not very pleasant. Flawless and true to the style, but I do not much care for the rough bitterness.

Herber, muffig malziger Beginn. Geringe Röstigkeit, im Mittelteil wässrig. Erneut muffiger Abgang, geringe Malzigkeit, unausgewogen. Nicht gut. 9/5/6/5/9/5

Bottle from Galeria Kaufhof, Köln
Beautiful dark amber color; generous and creamy head. The aroma is mild; there is some caramel, malt, candi sugar, egg pastries. Some caramel flavor, but the mouthfeel is too dry and unsweet for a Märzen; the bitterness is quite high, even too much in the end, and there is a light presence of apples (some problem with the fermentation or lagering). Boring.
