Bottle. Clear golden body with a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of tea and biscuity malt. Flavour of straw and lightly roasted malt with a light hoppy finish. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Simple and refreshing.

Cask at Marine Hotel. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is brown bread, cereal, grainy, leather and toffee. The taste is bitter, lemon peel, pithy citrus, brown bread, leather and a touch of astringency with a drying finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty basic bitter action.

Cloudy amber beer with a light citrus aroma. Taste is similar. Lightly hopped and an almost smoky edge to it. Nothing special but drinkable.

Cask @ JDW Muckle Cross, Elgin
Golden amber, clear, quite dense white head with some lacing
Aroma - pale malts, touch of hay, pale fruits, bit musty
Taste - pale malts, touch of honey, hint of rubber, soft old pale fruits, not a great flavour
Palate - soft carb, quite oily. Finish - some bitterness, bit metallic, odd plastic note
Overall - Well this wasn’t good...it isn’t an amber ale...is a golden ale/bitter
