Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, lactose, roast, fruity hops, chocolate, some pine and a touch of mocha coffee. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is above medium with some lactose cream. Black Milk IPA or Sweet India Stout? Either way, this is pretty damn good.

bottle. pitch dark, smooth light brown head. roasted malty, dry stoutish aroma, very dry, not sweet, still notes of oats. flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, cookies, milk, complex hop profile, parts of it flowery, parts bitter. after some sips the beer appears sweeter than at the beginning.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some sweet notes of malt and milk chocolate. Nicely bitter finish.

33 cl bottle @ home. As good as black color. Light brown head with a thin layer retention. Aroma’s: herbal hops, a bit moss, chocolate, light fruit. Retronasal it’s sweet, chocolate, resinous hops, roast. Flavor is moderate sweet, chocolatey, with some roast and light bitterness. Medium bodied. Roasty bitter finish. Nice, but the hoppiness doesn’t go so well with the sweetness

Bottle from Bierkonig. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel with sweet orange hop. Flavour is milk chocolate, licorice, roasted malt, sweet with tangy hop notes, dry palate.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, bottle date 05/08/2016 BB 05/08/2017, 33 cl sample. Dark color, medium bronw frothy head. Aroma has roast, bit licorice, grassy and earthy hops. Grassy bitterness dominates in taste, like a black IPA. Slight lactose sweetness and roast. Finish is a bit dry. Tasty and well brewed.

0.33 l bottle from ’De Molen’, bottled in August 2016. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, stable, light brown head. Fruity-resiny, slightly roasty-malty aroma of tropical fruits, pine, milk chocolate and hazelnut. Rather sweet, malty, a bit roasty and quite fruity taste of milk chocolate, praline, hazelnut, some vanilla and tropical fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly resiny finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice hoppy Imperial Milk Stout, delicious!
