Old rating from 12-05-15 - 500ml bottle from the brewery on my UK road trip. Poured at home in Jersey, it's black with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of dark fruits, chocolate, liquorice, vanilla, nuts & roasted malt. Medium body. Moderate bitter finish. Enjoyable

Shared bottle at Øl & Geologi, Norsk geologisk forening Stavanger @ UiS. Pours black With cream coloured head. Aroma of liquorice, dark chocolate, milk, some dark dried fruits. Taste bitter-sweet With some roasted notes. Medium-full bodied, slightly smooth mouth feel.

500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet City Nord, Bodø. Bubbly, tan-coloured head, clingy lacing, pitch back body. Plain roasted malty nose, mid-dry. Taste of dark chocolate, slightly smoked, added by moments of blackberry. Roasted grainy bitterness to the finish. Fine depth. Decent porter. (Shared with Kjell and Liv, Svenskebyen, Bodø 11.11.2017).

Bottle at the IP2 bottle share, from The Breacon Tap, Brecon. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, roasting and vanilla. Medium to heavy sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium plus body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden, London. A very dark brown coloured pour with a medium bubbly off white head on top. Roasty, malty, fruity aroma. Tastes the same, roasty, malty, fruity, hint of chocolate.

Bottle from Saucy Pears. Appearance - opaque black, with a black olive sheen and with a nice fluffy head. Nose - dark chocolate and creamy. Taste - dark chocolate with a light prune note. Dry coffee. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and an elegant finish. Overall - lovely rich porter.
