An extremely refreshing celebration ale, made using three different hop varieties, combined with the best “Maris Otter & Crystal” malts to create a colour reminiscent of a Galloway sunset, with a rich full bodied flavour that balances the caramel undertones.

On tap in Cloisters, Edinburgh. Pours a hazy amber with a good head. The nose has biscuits with a hint of ginger. The taste is more of the ginger biscuits and caramel on the end. The palate has a medium structure a full texture and a finish which could be better - a sweet and cloying unfortunately. Overall, happy to have tried one, but won’t look for it again.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a clear, golden beer with a small, white head. It’s quite citrusy on the nose, pale malts in the back. Biscuits and a caramel touch. A bit thin on the palate, with pleasant carbonation. Bitterness, lemon and biscuity malts in the flavor. A rather boring one, but it drinks easily and doesn’t taste bad at all. 110318

Golden, a little bit dull. The aroma is caramel lameness. The palate is sweet, with candied fruits, still some caramel and maybe some burnt electric phenols.
