Bottle at the School’s Out Tasting. Pours hazy gold with a thin white head. Aromas of mild green, fairy liquid, soapy. Taste is lemony, soapy. Astringent finish. Can it get any Worcester?

Bottle from Hay Wines, Ledbury, Herefordshire. Hazy, pale gold. White, lasting head. Aroma of pale malt. There’s some weird, sulphurous, fusty, damp straw too! Taste is lightly, spicy dry. Some bitterness. Short, dry finish.

Poured by gravity @ NERAX North cask festival. 11/16/2013 Haverhill, MA. Clear gold with lots of soapy head. Nose is corn and weak grassy hops. Ok, I’m confused here…. Where are the Green hops located?? The flavor is all grain, generic pale malt and yeast. Needless to say I was expecting much more. But it is just a Golden Ale I got worked up form the description and got nothing.

July 2010, I wrote this: This is the first of four different bottles (all 500ml) I bought from this brewery while in the lovely city of Worcester a couple of weekends ago. The beer should have been opened before the end of March, but I drank it in the first week of July. The beer is bottle conditioned: Poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ vase shaped pint glass. The beer was cloudy and a pale yellow in colour, really dull yellow to be honest. A snow white head sat on top. The aroma given off was mostly of hops, a bitterness and suggestions of sourness (Belgian style) mixed together to give an interesting and different smell to most UK beers. The taste was fairly green (meaning young and not ready), but the name suggests it would taste that way. I found it fresh, crisp and obviously hoppy, most enjoyable. It was a little lively, but not overly fizzy, just a bit over excited to get out the bottle.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, golden beer with a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma has a lovely hoppyness, with pineapple, pine cones and a lemony touch. Not much evidence of the malts, but I know there must be some. The flavor has a fine bitterness, as well as the same things found in the aroma. Medium body, a bit flat. A quite pleasant one, especially hop wise. Drinks easily and tastes good. 110318
