Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - faint toffee and general maltiness. Taste - slightly more flavour than brown water. Some sweetness but no bitterness. Palate - light bodied with a creamy but thin texture and it falls away quickly after that. Overall - brown water.

Not as bad as you might expect from a supermarket own brand. Copper with very little head on it but it has a smooth texture with light toffee notes. Slightly sweet.

440ml can. The tag-line is now "A traditional bitter brewed and canned in the UK" - so may not be from Leeds any more. Poured gold with a loose cream head - a reasonable looking bitter; but unfortunately there’s not much that’s good to say about it otherwise; grainy aroma; weak caramel malt flavour; and some stale hops to end with.

Can 500ml. @ home.Clear medium orange - amber yellow color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, caramel, metalic. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, molasses - caramel. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20110316]
