30 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to almost black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and slight butterish. Chocolate, roasted, smoked and dark malty. Lingering roasted, bitter and slight smoked dark malty finish.

1l PETka, from Zly Casy Prague. Deep black colour, mid-sized beige head. Chocolatey nose. Light- to medium-bodied, lots of roasted malts, shy hints of very bitter chocolate and caramel. Very slightly fruity in the far background. A good one from a good and reliable brewer.

Bottled 500ml. -brought home from Česky Pivni Festival, Praha. Deep black coloured, small to medium sized brown head, heavy smoke in the nose. Nice. Strong coffee taste with mild notes of smoke and bitter chocolate. Slight vinous roasty finish. Pleasant stout. Keep going Kocour!!!

Bottle that ogivlado got in Prague and shared with me (thanks!) Poured an impressively dark, opaque body, almost block with a thick brown head. The nose is an assault of smoke, slightly oily, some pancetta, dark malts, intensive like an IS only at 4.3%! Wow. Nice light bitter taste dominated by coffee, not much sweetness or body but quite irrelevant here, light sourish hints. This is supposed to by an Irish-style dry stout from what I could read and it beats ANY of them I’ve had so far (except maybe for O’Hara’s Celebration, but that’s stronger). Gets a bit salty and slightly tiring to drink, and the initial excitement fades slightly away, but this is still a superb beer for its strength and style. Kocour ROCKS!
