Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy golden coloured brew with an good citrus/hoppy taste and hints of honey. Pretty good one this brew, i wonder what it will be at 40.000 ratings.

On tap at Craft. Beautiful smell, bubblegum, mango or tropical chewits. Looks very appealing too. Pale yellow with a small consistent head right the way down the glass. Taste is similar to the aroma. Brings back memories of childhood sweets and also gives plenty of hints of fruit, pineapple, mango, bit of tangerine and even a quick hint of cherry, but some cherry flavoured sweet rather than the actual fruit. Little bit of hoppiness but so drinkable.

Collaboration brew celebrating Ungstrup’s 20.000th rating on this very site. Rocky, sticky, stable, off-white head over a pretty ’old gold’ coloured beer with vivid sparkling. Lots of leafy hops in the nose, lemon zest, grapefruit, freshly grated ginger, dried apricot, cooked rhubarb, freshly baked bread, tarragon. Dry but refreshing fruitiness in the mouth, citrus touch, soft mouthfeel, nice bready malt sweetness, spicy notes, powerful peppery hop bitterness in the finish reminiscent of an IPA more than a saison, as which this is apparently intended. Not a saison to me but a very tasteful and appetizing beer, in any case.

Bottle at RBSG a few years back. I’m still looking for the label for this one. Please let me know if anyone has an empty bottle/label they can trade/send me. Pours clear gold with white head. Nose and taste of grassy hops, honey, apricot, hay and light spicy malt. Medium bodied.

330ml bottle [BBE 01/02/2012]. I hope this will still do. Hazy bright yellowish golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. complex fruity, floral, herbal and minimally spicy aroma, slightly peppery, hints of mustard, honey, rose petal. Taste is minimally to moderately sweet, slightly tart, minimally bitter hoppy, hints of pineapple, orange zest, bubblegum, a floral touch, some cilantro; sadly some grassy, bitter off-flavours. Very complex, though still mild and very well balanced. Superb!

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty beige/orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rustic malt notes with fruity ester and quite strong notes of paradise grain and light citrus notes. Taste is a complex and intense mix of rustic malt with balanced sweetness level mix in with some fruity ester and light citrus notes with perhaps a touch too much of paradise grain notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed though perhaps a bit too much spice and ester for its own good.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. I think I picked this up at De Molen. It’s cool to try Ungstrup 20k- cheers, Jens! Glad to have met you during my Danish excursion! Hazy, dark golden appearance with a lively, off-white head. Big orange peel, floral, effervescent, citrusy potpourri, spicy yeasty aroma that’s very unique. Tangy, rich floral hoppy, fairly herbal and woody, big chewy orange citrusy, peppery, earthy flavor. It’s also fairly spicy with a lot of nuances going on. Cool beer. Congrats 4,350 ratings late, Jens!
