750ml bottle split at DC tasting..thanks Gene! Murky red-brown. Thin non-head laces the glass. Cloyingly sour. Light oak. Solid natural cherry taste. Well balanced for a sour, not test tuby, with a thick juicy undertone. Right on.

Pours deep ruby-tinged mahogany into a tulip. Off-white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Oaked rum and cherry aromas. Medium bodied with sour cherry upfront turning oaky in the lasting tart cherry finish.

Bottle via a trade. Pours with a hazed ruby-red hue and a small off-white head. Aromas are lightly acetic, balsamic vinegar, vinous, red wine, lacto, oak, funk, pie cherries, cherry pits, with a little bit of sweetness imparted by the cherries. Flavors are sour, strongly lactic, some acetic, dry puckering and quite sour. Light sweetness, pie cherries. The funk is nice, but tastes a bit unrefined next to a Lost Abbey or Russian River sour. Light oak. Finishes bone dry. Easy to drink, puckering, tannins. lively bubbles. Well done.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of jleblanc. Pours a hazy reddish with a beige head. Tart cherry aroma, vanilla and marzipan - rather sophisticated. Medium body, dry cherry notes, the fruits really rule here. Again vanilla and marzipan with a dry and slightly tart finish. Very pleasant and sophisticated. 230211
