Bottle at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, Gustav Adolf Torg
Dark brown color with amber reflex; small head. Mild aroma, roasted malt and whisky. Good caramel and chocolate flavor, quite sweet, with traces of roasted malt, roasted nuts, smoke, and a whisky-like alcohol vein. Chocolatey final, liquor filled chocolates, with some roasted malt. Very pleasant.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark brown with an orange hue and a small off-white head. The nose has sweet raisin and distinct peated smoke and a little iodine. Medium body, low carbonation, sweet dark dried fruit with lots of peat, tar and iodine. Subdued bitterness in the finish but some alcohol. I’m far from a fan of Islay beers, but this one I found quite interesting. 050211

Bottled:
Pours a dark (almost black) brown colour with a mid sized head. Big Islay Whisky aroma. Flavour is lots of salty liquorice, ash, smoke and char coal. Seems to get a lot of not-so-good ratings; can’t say that I understand why.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small head that disappeared quickly. Ok aroma of whiskey, smoke, some licorice and light roasted malt. Taste of smoke, licorice, wood and some light roasted malt. Light body with an almost watery mouth feel, short aftertaste. Not an impressive Imperial Stout.
