DØE. Black without head. Aroma is roasted malt, spicy and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish with some alcohol. 290515

Draught@CPH BF 2011. Pitch black colour with a beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, toffee, caramel, almonds, chocolate and some spices. Flavour is almonds ("bittermandel"), caramel, toffee, liquorice and some mild roasted notes. .Also some slight chocolate and alcohol to it.

Bottle, 75cl corked, from trade with Papsoe. A black one, topped by a minimal brown head. Lightly roasted aroma with licorice, some spice notes and alcohol, and a phenolic touch. The flavor doesn’t differ much from the aroma, it’s roasted, with licorice, some spices, as well as a little bitterness and some sweetness. Medium to full body, lightly warming. Bitter and roasted finish. A nice one indeed. 110610

Bottle.My x-mas beer no.20.Dark brown colour with head.Aroma of christmas spices and powerful licorice,full body and warming mouthfeels,good well balanced and spicey smooth finish.

Draft. A dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, star anise, and caramel, leading to dry spicy finish.

Copenhagen Beer Festival, 2011. Pours black with a creamy off white head. Anis and liquorice. Medium and smooth palate. Very sweet and syrupy. A bit cloying.

Draught. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long nice heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.
