50 cl bottle as ”Ustersbacher Hefeweizen”, rated on 19.10.2010
Murky yellow colour. Stale aroma has too ripe banana. Flavour is stale and dry with citrus and somewhat light. A bit thin palate. One of the worst hefes I’ve had.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Hazy - murky medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, moderate yeasty, fruity, citrus acidic, light banana. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average to long duration, fruity, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20110202]

Bottle. Ok Hefeweizen but a bit lighter than "normal". Short finish, still drinkable and with the classical taste of wheat and some banana.

Bottled as Ustersbacher Hefeweizen. Bottle looks good, the beer in the glass light, modest cloudy. Starts strong, intense fruity like banana, not too sweet. Modest yeasty. Finish malty-fruity, a bit drier. Well done hefeweizen, tastes better than it looks.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Hazy orange colour with small white head. Aroma is wheat, some slight bready notes, also rather sweet mildly acidic fruity notes along with earth. Flavour is wheat, toffee, some caramel, mild acidic fruits as well as some wooden notes. A bit too acidic for my likes.

Bottle: Pale golden, hazy, small to medium-sized white head, leaving a little lace; sweet wheaty-fruity nose with a tinge of cloves; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, almost medium bodied; mild sourish-tart finish. Quite O.K., average Weizen, gently underrated.......

(bottle) Hazy, yellow to pale golden colour with a mid-sized frothy white head. Yeasty and moderately wheaty aroma with notes of lemon and banana. Moderately sour flavour, light to medium bodied. Wheaty and citrus-fruity taste almost without the usual phenolic cornucopia, which I appreciate; mildly sour and citric, also slightly tart finish. A kind of bland Hefeweizen, although underrated compared to other swill. 21.IX.09

pale yellow, hazy and large head. Clear banana flavours, malty and nearly no hopy at all. A bit citrusy flavour. Good example of the style.
