Ever-so-slightly hazy golden and straw coloured body with a frothy, ugly two to three centimetre tall off-white and cream coloured head that fades slowly and leaves a spotty lace on the sides. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, hay, flowers, melons, mangoes, vanilla and lactose - quite strong in the nose with a significant amount of dryness noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong and rich mango and melon flavours show at first with a very deep bitterness from grass and herbs, with a strong dry flavour, a very light maltiness and almost no sweetness at all. Aftertaste is relatively simplistic, with the dry, herbal and especially grassy hoppy notes outweighing almost all others - although some light malt, alcohol and fruits are noticeable, this is far from any 'tropical kush' that I expected. Overall, a decent enough unfiltered IPA, but not a New England IPA by any means, nor a fruity beer or one with really any tropical notes at all. Still, nice enough to sample and a good option if looking for more of a hoppy Saison or a dry, herbal and grassy, but hoppy beer. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Columbia Pike), Virginia on 17-October-2020 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington on 20-November-2020.

Gold pour with tropical fruit nose. Taste of orange and grapefruit with hint of zest in the flavor. Sweet and refreshing palate

Pounder: Guava nose. Cloudy orange, big chunks of sediment, thin head. Juicy orange. Full body, easy carbonation. Tasty but didn't deliver the expected complexity.

Pint at Whole Foods Crystal City, pours a lightly hazy gold with some creamy, white head. Nose has bright citrus, oranges and lemons mostly, grass, some candy and flowers. Flavor has a baseline lemony bitterness, grapefruit now, grass, perfume, lemon-lime soda. Light on the palate with some bitterness.7 3 7 4 13

Hazy yellow color with lasting white foam. Intense aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, and evergreen. Taste is surprisingly sweet to start with medium hop bitterness that fades quickly. Easy drinking.
