Ever so slightly hazy golden and copper coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall off-white head and a touch of bubbles rising from the sides. Aroma of citrus (of course), hay, grass and a good amount of sugars - honey and some syrup shows through. Medium-bodied; Strong rich sweetness with the honey and resinous notes showing stronger than any hop bitterness, but a lot of citrus and grapefruit notes that indicate a lot of hoppiness, without the deep bitterness. Aftertaste shows a lot of the syrup and resinous notes with a good fruity and almost fructose type flavour, with a dash of light bitterness from the citrus-based hops and not much complexity or depth, however. Overall, a very interesting beer that shows more of an American Strong or dare-I-say, pure amber ale, than anything else, but the sweetness shows much stronger than the hops do throughout, even sampled very fresh! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Newport News, Virginia on 17-November-2019 for US$4,04 sampled on 09-January-2020, after spending it's entire life in a fridge.
