Cask at GBBF ’14. Golden brown with a bit of natural head. Big hit of pine reisn, grass, apple pie, wheat and papaya in the aroma. The taste is old-fashion American ultra-bitter from start to finish. Any slight sweetness that threatens to creep in is mercilessly crushed. Lip-puckering bitter aftertaste that may please many but is too much for me. Doesn’t really work in cask, and is subtle as a brick. Still enjoyable enough though.

Cask ale by hand-pump at Grove Inn, shared with Nina and Steinar. Firm, lasting pearl white head. Satisfying lacing down the glass. Hazy amber coloured body. Caramel and grapefruit to the nose. Mango, grapefruit and honey to the flavour character. Lingering bittersweet ending. Well bodied and well made (Huddersfield 09.07.2014).
