On tap at the brewpub.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy glossy burnt yellow to orange color with a slim bar pour’s kind of white head. Light lacing runs here and there.
The smell takes on a huge burst of bitter orange rind. Extra citrus / lemon bitter hops play with a light pine underneath.
The taste leaned towards the bitter rind-like quality. Full and leaning on the bitterness to embrace and pound on into the aftertaste. Semi-smooth bitter finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the bitterness to hit appropriately.
Overall, I say this was a very good DIPA that I would have again.
