Fox & Goose Summer Beer Festival 2016. Clear golden coloured ale. Hoppy with a fair fruitiness, some berry-sweetness in its nose and a late bitter finish.

Bottled 568ml (Ales by Mail, BB 09/2016)
Hazy-murky deep orange color, small steady off-white, some lace. Citrus, gooseberry in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Citrus and gooseberry also in the flavor. Tropical fruityness but also grapefruitish tartness. A bit yeasty feeling and finish is somewhat empty. Probably better when really fresh from tap.

Appearance is golden, fairly clear, a small off-white bubbly head. Aroma- hops, cut grass, lemon, fruit juice. Taste- grassy hops, wheat, orange and lemon, slight cheesy note but a tolerable one. Bottle. Appearance is amber, quite clear, a thick white head. Aroma- tropical fruit, pineapple, orange, hint of mango. Taste- juicy fruit, malt bread undertones, hop bitterness, juicy pineapple and orange, short finish. Better.

568ml pint bottle all to myself from Beer Gonzo. Pours cloudy orange, good creamy off-white head. Aroma is singing all kinds of juicy fruity notes. Taste is limey mango, tropical fruit and raw hop flavours but in a very drinkable way. Lovely stuff.

568ml bottle. Murky, dark golden colour with small to average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Somehow not really arising, fully unfolding, piney, grassy, herbal and slightly resinous hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, lemongrass, balm, a touch of lime. Taste is "dirty" grassy, piney and citrusy hoppy, notes of lemongrass, balm, lime, a leafy touch, pale malty basis. Expected a bit more.

On tap at The Bottle Shop London. Dirty cloudy gold beer lasting white head. Has that odd slightly meaty yet hop pellet like aroma. Big hoppy aroma. Does smell of hop pellets. Some caramel. Some bitterness. Weird big hops. OK.
