En kopparfärgad ale i stilen extra special bitter
5,5 ABV

Bottled 500ml (BB 07/2011)
Deep ruby brown color, small steady off-white head. Papery, yeasty aroma. Medium-bodied. Some caramel, light licorice, vegetables and quite strong bitterness for ESB. Perhaps a bit too old bottle, probably better when fresh on tap.

500ml Bottle (Thanks Omhper) - Hazy brown/copper. Roasted aroma with hints of malt, coffee, chocolate and dried fruit. Fruity and malty taste with notes of raisins, roasted malt, caramel and cocoa. Not bad.

Pours a hazy copper amber colur with mid sized airy head. Sourish aroma with notes of red currants. Sourish flavour wth notes of resiny hops and hazel nuts. There might be an infection going on here. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to rate it again sometime.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear reddish brown small head. Salty black currant aroma. Mid-sweet with medium body and clean, hard mouthfeel. Light caramel rests under the resiny hops. Plenty of salt, some black currant. Long resiny bitterness. Too clean mouthfeel to be really good.
