First sip, not too bad, rest of pour added lots of yeast and sediment, turned the beer slightly yeasty sour. Color changed to murky golden as well. Sour aroma of yeast, sourdough bread, hay. Taste is also on the sour side, slight sour aftertaste too. If you try this one avoid the sediment.

Bottle @ Meskerem, an Ethoopian restaurant in Washington, D.C. Pours clear golden with small white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops with a slight citric note. Bitter flavour of hops but, above all, metal. Sparse malty touches. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Boring. Not very well balanced. Won’t have another one.

Smell of metal. Dark brown colour, mid-brown head. Aroma of mämmi, sugar, burnt malt. Gross. Sweet. To be avoided.

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Hazy pale yellow with no head. Aroma of cooked vegetables, cereals and something I can’t put my finger on.. Slightly sweetish and sourish flavor, vegetal, with faint plastic notes and a hint of bitterness. Light-bodied. Unpleasant.

12oz bottle consumed at this little Ethiopian spot at 14th and P Streets NW in DC. Pours a clear, light gold with some fading, white head. Nose is mild, hay, yeast, grass, white bread. Flavor is malt, hay, white flour. Watery finish. I liked the St George’s significantly more.

My wife and i’s eating around the world in NYC project is underway, and we found ourselves at ashway ethopian on 107th St. They had 4 Ethiopian brews in bottles this was one of two I hadn’t previously had. Pours quite dirty Boone and quite hazy, with white head. Nose of light hops and fruit. Tastes of grains, bananas, wet cardboard, grass, citrus, and light grape fruity hops. Not bad better then I thought was fine with spicy dishes I got.

Pours a small dying white head. Aroma of grain. Industrial taste of malt, with a hint of corn and metal. Easy drinkable

11.2 oz bottle. Has a label that looks like it was pasted on with a kindergartner’s gluestick. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a small white soapy head that falls into a ring and thin film of foam in about two seconds. Aroma is vomity, grainy. Taste is sweetish but it has a welcome bitter hop edge. Tastes a little corny and metallic. Highly carbonated. Not good, but there’s a lot worse out there.

Flacher, schwach gehopfter Antrunk. Später getreidig, wobei hier sofort ein metallernes Fehlaroma aufkommt. Dann wässrig, nur noch wenig getreidig. Laff, wenig spritzig. Zum Ende trocken. Trinkbares, aber überaus langweiliges Bier. 10/6/9/5/12/6
