From a 12 oz. can. opened a gusher. Pours a murky dark amber with a big frothy ecru head. Aromas of pine and alfalfa. Flavors are burnt orange.

Cask at The Great British Beer Festival 2017, Olympia, London. A red/brown/amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, orange, grapefruit, caramel on the nose. Tastes hoppy, tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit, caramel, slightly sweet. Delicious beer, I had quite a few of these at GBBF.

On tap at brewery. Very dark amber with small creamy head. Malt in spades, especially in the aroma. Hops kick in at first sip and linger for quite a while, pleasantly. ABV hides behind the hops, only evident by some gentle warmth deep in the gut.

Cask at GBBF ’15, day 1, 11/08/15. Reddish amber topped with moderate beige spotting. Nose is caramel, earthy hop, biscuit crumble, light spice, candied fruit peel. Taste comprises bitter red grapefruit, light pine, earthy hop strokes. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, earthy hop bitterness in the close. Decent enough fayre.

Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours clear deep red with a tiny beige head. The nose is soft, rich, bitter-sweet, red fruit, candy and fruit cake. The taste is slick, oily, bitter-sweet, resin, earth, red berry, jammy fruit, candy, toffee, red grapefruit, spice and booze with a lingering peppery spice finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Pretty alright stuff.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear deep red - amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry with decent fine carbonation. Rich toffee - both regular toffee and dark toffee. Marmalade and spicy orange. Tangerine, some citric peel. Light finish. Lovely rich beer, nice combo of toffee and orangey hops.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2015. Dark red beer not much condition almost made me gag. Some red fruits. But not a good drinking beer. Hops yes but almost made me wretch.
