Brewed with royalty in mind, no expense was spared in crafting our Imperial Red. Generous additions of our favorite hop varieties blend harmoniously with long layers of dark caramel malts.

Bomber - I don’t normally jump on buying an american strong, but I tend to like Marble beers, plus their regular red is quite good - hazy light red - soapy lace - light caramel maltiness in the nose, but the aroma is mostly resinous hops, citrus, lemon, pine - medium body, slightly oily texture, moderate carbonation - flavor is more like an imperial ipa - the malt base provides a decent structure for the hops that dominate the flavor - hop flavors of earth, pine, citrus - bitterness is zesty, peppery, but a tad abrasive in the finish - some alcohol heat at the end as well - simple, but enjoyable enough - I prefer the regular red, though.

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Ruben for this bottle! Hazy dark reddish amber. Great hoppy aroma, bursting with tropical fruits (lots of melon). Slightly sweetish flavor with chewy malt, a bit of caramel and a very bitter and hoppy finish with a bit of fruitiness and nice piney notes. Medium-bodied. Very nice.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Argonaut Denver. Pours a dark rust orange appearance with a very nice, bubbly brown head and nice retention. Rich toasty malty, caramel, a bit burnt, earthy, a touch citrusy hoppy, slightly boozy aroma. Thick, caramel, burnt caramel malty, creamy, a touch piney, grapefruity hoppy, quite rich, somewhat syrupy flavor with some booze on the finish. A little overdone, for me at least.

Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Grapefruit, C-hops galore, fruity as few. Bitter-fruity flavour, grapefruit and grapefruitpeels, with a sweeter finish more reminiscent of lytchee. Very velvety feel, well-carbonated feel if not visually so. Quite balanced, surprisingly original; IPA-like and yet it is definitiely a red ale. Txs, CarlK!
