Bottle via trade with brokephibroke. Hazy medium orange body, thin clumping cream head with significant lacing. Nose of floral and citrusy hops, caky yeast, breast malts, and hints of alcohol. Dense body, lots of citrus and pine with robust bitterness and a yeasty, toasty body with hints of alcohol. Slightly oxidized. Nice.

Bottle: Copper/orange pour is hazy with a creamy sand colored head. Lots of sticky lacing. Nose is somewhat muted, at least initially. As it warms piney and tropical fruit notes take over. Some caramel too. At frist the flavor is soft for a DIPA; caramel, piney, and tropical fruits. More pine resin... reminds me of Blue spruce. Seems like the hops may have faded a bit, I’d really like to try this again fresh, but it has a good balance of flavor overall.

Peanut hulls, unmalted and unhusked barley, and orange peel aroma. Cloudy amber, medium sticky yellow head. Overripe apricot, maraschino cherries, grain, bread crust, crackers. Very busy and certainly not boring. Some DMS. Spellbinding complexities, neat transitions, good balance, one of a kind, but slightly flawed. Entertaining.

GBBF. Light haze on this amber beer, small off white head. Palate is smooth and a little dry. Mild fine carbonation. Sweetish marmalade hops with a touch of mango. Spicy aniseed alcohol. Finishes dry. All right but I could do with less obvious alcohol.

Cask at GBBF 2012. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a bubbly white head. The nose is light sweet tropical fruit, hop sack and pine. The taste is sticky tropical fruit, pine, resin, straw, light spice, grass, hopsack and some residual sweetness, with a long bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Good flavour, but somewhat cloying. I think this would be much better with more carbonation to lift the flavour and therefore drinkability.

Cask@GBBF2012. Ambery golden colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, floral, caramelly with some zesty, citrusy and quite peachy notes. Flavour is being quite similar in a nice balance. Hides the ABV very well!

Bottle @ home. Pours a hazy, golden orange appearance with a big, cream colored head. A touch spicy and earthy aroma that is far more dominated by a nice grapefruity, sappy piney hoppy smell. A bit toasty malty, light toffee, mildly bitter, grapefruit, earthy, piney hoppy flavor with some resin and booze on the finish. Pretty decent brew at $5.99/bomber.

Golden. Thin head. Minty, leafy, slightly fruity aroma. Lots of bitterness. Light herbal, fruity hop character. Pale malts provide a little bit of balance. A decent example, not too rich.
