Caramel brown with a hint of chocolate, Brewhouse Brown melds four kinds of malt to create a satisfying, thirst-quenching brew. Best enjoyed at 55 degrees, this ale is slightly rich and roasty, yet leaves a dry finish. It is the perfect companion for a hearty meal.

Thanks to ilovedarkbeer. Pours a hazy dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma of maple, nuts, some flowers as well. Taste is sweet and nutty with some wheat. Pretty boring. Water like mouthfeel, light bubbles.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with an amber/orange glare and with a slowly collapsing tan head. Mild acidic, spiced and hardroasted malt aroma. Spiced and hard roasted malt flavour. Holds a mild bitterness following this. Ends acidic and with a lingering roasted malt flavour accompanied with a mild chocolate smoothness.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of MaltOMeal. Hazy dark orangey brown with a tall and bubbly dissipating beige head. Aroma of toasted caramel and nuts. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt, nuts and a lightly ashy edge. The finish is lightly bitter. Generally quite OK. 220608

Bottled. thx to an american friend of Noize. Clear copper color. Aroma of chocolat, toffee, roasted malt, though soft. Taste of cocoa powder, bit chocolat, malt. Bit dry finish. Bit unbalanced I would say.

12oz bottle courtesy of l4lb, thanks. It pours deep amber with infra red edges and tan head. In the aroma I get rich roasted malts, a hint of smoked malts and some faint fruity esters. The taste is much the same with rich roasted malts which seem to be a mixture of medium and highly roasted malts. I also get a faint smoke malt note to go along with more roasted malts, a hint of caramel and faint malt astringency into the finish.

A small, white head leaves a clear, brown body behind. As the brewer’s description says, this is slightly roasty, slightly rich. In aroma and flavor. Not bad, nothing really exciting.
