Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a rich amber glow and a thin tan head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, fresh malt, hops and a bit of honeysuckle. Medium-bodied; Sharp hop flavour with a good pine and herbal kick from the hops and a good malt (couldn’t tell it was buckwheat) backbone. Some light rye flavours near the end with an aftertaste of drying hops and some subtle pine taste and a very light sweetness. Overall, a good beer and showing a lot of hops and a good balance. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Colonial Spirits in Acton, Massachusetts on 23-September-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 08-November-2010.

Cask@GBBF2010. Goldeny amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is a bunch of crystal malts, breadyness, some mild fruityness as well as some floral notes. Flavour is being quite much the same along with a quite strong alcoholic sting.

My bottle says nothing about buckwheat on it, just plain opa opa IPA. Almost sweet lemon aroma. Big exciting show when this bottle is opened and then poured yet it does not flod over. Strong as any IPA and on style. Bitter rude hop bite. Low levels of CO2 in the brew. Finish ios like I just got finished chewwing green grapefruit rinds with dish soap, wew. Oily sometinms. Big thanks to the little beer doctor for treating me to this sample, nice deal for what I sent her!

A golden IPA with a thick white head. A classy IPA aroma with light C-hops, floral and lightly resinous. In mouth, a good caramel malt with good c-hops, very floral, light menthol. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, Inbièrenationale IV, May 2007.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Fruity-fresh aroma. Tastes hoppy and dry, very like wood. Grasy-dry finish. Strange, but good! Big thanks to jjpm74 for the bottle!
