Bottle thanks to Lars - dark brown with a tiny beige head. Nearly 10 years old and past use date but overall not as bad as expected, some obvious signs of oxidisation, but some pleasing distinct dried fruit shred coming through, brown sugar, sweet caramel malts, boozy malty finish

Bottle. Pours clear dark amber with airy white head. Distinct aroma of malt and fruit. Rich, sweet taste of malt and dried fruit with a note of caramel and aniseed. Boozy finish, especially in the long nose. Quite decent.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, metal, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, over ripe fruits, and candy sugar, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle, courtesy of geokkjer. It pours a clear, copper-colored body and a finger-thick dense, light beige head on top. The aroma has a faint note of licorice, with dried fruits, ripe to overripe yellow apples and a spicyness. Lacking complexity, but quite nice anyway. The same goes for the flavor, it’s nice but a bit boring, at least considering the style. Licorice, prunes, alcohol, hints of caramel, spices and bitterness, and a pleasant alcohol warmth. Full body, warming and with a nice sweetness. Well, it’s a nice beer, but it’s not up there amongst the world class quadrupels. 110516

10 cl. sample from bottle at DØE tasting - 10 "best" new danish beers 2010. Some weak fruity aroma. Clear dark amber colour. White head that hardly disappers. The flavour is sweet with a lot of alcohol, way to much alcohol, that burns the tongue. Dominated by the malts, and dried, dark fruits, but the beer is spoiled by the alcohol. 12 % is about 5 % to much. The worst beer at this session.
