Way too much alcohol. Better with the belgian taste, but still very fruity taste with the sweetness of the alcohol.

Clear red brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty, dried fruit, spicy and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet. Too sweet and too much alcohol in the finish. It burns my throat. The change of yeast has improved this a lot since last year. 081210

Bottle 66 cl. Bottle # 20568. Clear dark amber with an off-white head. The nose has plenty of sweetish dried fruit and friendly phenols. Only medium-bodied, plenty of dried and somewhat overripe fruit accents with spicy esters and sugars. Evident Belgian yeast with a lightly tart edge. The alcohol prickles my tongue but the beer doesn’t come out as overly boozy. Quite decent - especially considering the prize tag. 291210

Bottle, 12%. Weak fruity aroma. Clear dark amber colour. OK stable off-white head. The flavour is a little sweet with a lot of alcohol. Very malty, also spicy, dark dried fruits, but overshadowed by the immense and rough alcohol. Much too alcoholic, why 12%? I liked the other versions better.

Bottled 66cl @Beer Hunters (BB 03/2012)
Deep amber color, small off-white head. Alcoholic, caramelly, dark fruity date aroma. Medium-bodied, or even a bit light for this ABV. Very alcoholic, some dark fruits, raisins. Unfortunately the most fruityness is overpowered by alcohol and metal. This is actually quite similar to some East European strong dark lagers.
