A full fruit and flavoursome dark mild. Subtle additions of real black cherries and gentle hopping provide a truly wonderful taste experience.

Cask-conditioned at the Minehead Beer Festival, 8/09/2012. Dark brown with a decent, off-whit head. Aroma of dark fruits, with a hint of coffee and demerara sugar. Flavour had more fruit, with some roastiness and gently bitter finish. Good.

Cask at the Wallington 2011 Beer Festival. It pours opaque black, with a thin bubbly head. The nose is dark cherry, liquorice, dark chocolate and salt. The taste is ripe dark cherry, roasted malt, malt vinegar, caramel and chocolate, with a light roasted malt finish. Medium body, smooth and low carbonation. Nice balance, flavoursome and thankfully not too sweet. Nice.

Cask at the Wallington and Croydon BF, London. Pours dark, ruby-brown with a small, off-white head. Rich roasty malt nose and, yes, dark cherries are present. Mild sweet flavor, nice roasted malt quality, good cherry notes, light sweetness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nice, mild roast finish, lingering chocolate-covered cherries. This beer really delivers on its name. One of the best beers of the festival for me. Well done.
