Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours amber with a slight haze and a lacing off-white head. Nose has caramel, a little hops and quite some booze. Solid body, quite some caramel and fruit with a tart, minerally edge. Ends with a little booze. 200312

Bottle in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, shared with Dimo, Penka, Lyoli, grandma Elena, Ivanka and Nora. Pours cloudy, light brown with a foamy, white head. Rich, malty aroma filled with alcohol-soaked fruits. Flavor is plenty sweet, with lots of bread, toasted sugar, ripe fruits, light booze. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Faintly warm finish, toasted sugar, faint honey, rich bread, light cake, light alcohol, light woody bitterness. Lingering sugary malts. Decent English strong.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Copper coloured with next to no head. Sweet, toffee and red fruit aroma with a touch of English hops. Flavour was also sweet, with plenty more fruit, a suggestion of spice and bitter finish, with the alcohol prominent. Fine.

Sampled from bottle at Scopeys 2nd East Croydon Beer tasting. Hazy dark orange color, small white head. Smell sweet, little bit like Apple. Taste sweet: too sweet. Average carbo, low to medium body.

Bottle at the 2nd East Croydon Beer Tasting from Sainsbury’s Purley Way. It pours amber, with a thin off-white head. The nose is varnish, cherry, strawberry, toffee and Granny Smith apple. The taste is ripe blueberry, cherry, dryness, sticky toffee apple and light spice, with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Too brash and sickly sweet for me.

Bottle from Sainsburys in Pinner. An orange/amber coloured pour with a small white head. Sweet, honey, port like aroma. Tastes of honey, quite sweet, fruity, boozy, honey. Rather unbalanced and it also seemed a little thin despite the strength.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark orange with a small head. Aroma is sweet mollasses and a touch of raisin. Faint. Taste is sweet raisin to start. Molasses on the finish. A bit flat, not much body. A little alcohol.
