Tap @ Brygghuset. Pitch black body with a stable, dense beige head. Looks amazing. Aroma is strong roasted coffee, roasted dark malt, some dark chocolate and warming alcohol. Flavor is sweet dark, roasted malt, chocolate and strong, almost sour coffee in a very solid and nice way. Full bodied and and strong, long lasting aftertaste. Very nice, but also a bit heavy for a full pint.

From tap at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Roasty aroma with lots of coffee, bitter dark chocolate, and espresso. Flavour is moderate sweet with a surprisingly firm roasty bitterness. Body is full. Maybe not the smoothest Stout, but the onslaught of coffee and chocolate is impressive.

Black with a frothy, light brown head. Aroma full of the advertised coffee and vanilla. Taste is moderate sweet with fudge up front and roasted coffee grounds at the end. Full-bodied, thick and oily, mild carbonation. On the whole, not bad. Coffee overdosed but none of the sickly sweetness of a lot of beers in this class.

Bottled. Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, some mild wood as well as some syrupy tones. Flavour is dried fruits, raisins, some alcohol and mild roasted notes.

Red-russet head, stable, over jet-black beer, pouring as chocolatesauce. Pure coffee nose, ground coffeebean dregs. Hint at vanilla. Light vanilla, huge coffeebill, and indeed, brown (cane) sugar. Finish, certainly warming up, yields a bit of dark chocolate. Full bodied as few, viscous-chewy and thick; good carbonation, warming. Not really the greatest of stouts, but drinkable enough. Pretty clear dark brown to black beer, big aery irregular big bubbled beige head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: very deep intense roast, alcohol, malty, some soy sauce, bit oxidized, some dark chocolate, hint of vanilla and even some tonka beans are present. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: nice roast up front, pretty bitter, coffee touch, lots of dark chocolate, very bitter hops and dark roast. Aftertaste: lots of alcohol warming the throat, caramel touch, lots of dark chocolate, little sweet, some vanilla, coffee touch, dry, alcoholic finish, nice one!

Can from beerbay online shop in spain. Was a bit bumped, and there was green stuff on top of the two cans, like something was spilled on them a long time ago - but hey... soap and water and a dishwashing brush fixed that problem. Pitch dark, brown head. holy sh*t, what a nice aroma.strong on coffee, strong on roasted malts, full bodied, not sweet malts, roasted malts and coffee, really good aroma, long time since i had an imp. stout with this good an aroma. very dry and very heavy. flavor roasted malts, vanilla, coffee, lots of coffe in fact - adding bitterness and flavor. This is super nice, coffee and beer melt together really well. I bought two cans so I could save one for another time. Very happy about that desicion, this is really, really good stuff. Never mind I had to wash it a bit first.

Pitch black with a beige head. Sweet coffee and bitter chocolate aroma with some vanilla. Sweet but with a serious bitter undertone. Long intensely roasted finish. Smooth but bold. Great beer.
