Keg at Beer Merchants. It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, robust, loads of coffee, dark chocolate and some charred wood. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, chocolate cake, loads of coffee, some acidity, burnt toast, chewy, toothy, burnt fruit cake, toasted nut, warming alcohol, umami, liquorice and coffee grounds with a drying finish. Full body, fine, foamy carbonation and oily mouth - feel. A bit toothy and chewy.

Keg at the Beer Merchants Tap - Hackney Wick. Pours oily black with a frothy, brown head. Huge coffee aroma, espresso, black coffee, espresso. Medium sweet flavour with strong ashy bitterness, more espresso, alcohol, baking cocoa. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation and velvety carbonation. Warming finish, tons more bitter dark chocolate, strong ashy roast, hearty espresso. Damn good. Rich.

Bottle picked up from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham shared at Merton Beer Festival Saturday 24th February 2018 Pours black with a slim head. There is lots of coffee on the nose, it's coffee central. In the mouth coffee, chocolate and a creaminess but again the coffee dominates. It isn't a complex Imperial Stout but it is a very good one, love this, rich, indulgent coffee monster. A8 A4 T9 P4 Ov17 4.2

Bottle thanks to Fin. Black beer lasting tan head. Coffee raw coffee aroma. Chocolate. Lots of coffee chocolate almost harsh in carbonation and and amount of coffee. It's big. Huge lots of flavour. Get rid of harsh carbonation. Restis fantastic. Liquorice.
