Appearance: Clear chestnut brown with a one finger tall off-white head of mediocre retention. Aroma: Toast and caramel, dried fruit, esters, moderate phenols and some Belgian yeast. Taste: Light to medium sweet, dark malts, esters, dried fruit, apricot jam, some treacle, distant hop. Low bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium minus body, average carbonation. Summary: not an outstanding Belgian ale.
