Pours deep copper with thin tan head. The modest aroma is sweet with malts, caramel and a dash of dark fruitiness to go along with a hint of roasted malts. The taste is aged malts, some roast, caramel and a thin layer of citrus hops. It ends with a pleasing combination of sweet malts and some roast.

12 ounce bottle from Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a medium head. Small floating particles. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, nuts and caramel. Taste is caramel, toffee, toasted malts and a light fruity finish. Medium bodied.

sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-caramel color with a large khaki head. The aroma was lightly sour, bitter and vaguely fruity. The flavor was sour, bitter and nutty with a lightly earthy and peppery undertone and a hint of nutmeg. A bit complex but despite a few nice elements it does not blend into a particularly enjoyable whole.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of over ripe fruits, but also light malt notes. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fresh fruit as well as light notes of over ripe fruits, leading to lightly bitter finish. OK without being fantastic. Thanks to Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle. Poured deep amber with foamy white head. Faint hop aroma. Bland taste, thin body uninteresting finish. Not bad, just boring.

Smells like sweet old wet crikbed bottom. Addlepaded brown and orange visual impressions. Ubiquitous cheap ale palate. Good for the ale gudgeons.

Deep copper color, smallish foamy head. Butterscotchy malt aroma, with a bit of earthy stale herbal leafy notes in the background. Fullish palate, with a roundish malt, but the carbonation has too much bite, until its somewhat astringent. Finish is nearly balanced, leaning towards a woody bitterness.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. Weird, unclean aroma of rye bread and roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish, roasted malt - but again oddly unclean. Dry, lightly hoppy finish. 270907

Paid $1.49 for a 12-oz single. Gorgeous beer. Exquisite red-amber in color, with a large, growing beige head. Scent is metallic copper, nothing really appeasing. Taste is sweet and kinda nutty... almost roasted sunflowerseedy at times. Itβs a nice brew that would make a nice flavor change in my rotation once-in-awhile.
