Bottle at le mondiale 2011. Jet black pour with a light mocha head. Big big aroma of piney, resinous west coast high alpha hops. Some big roasted malts also. Licorice, soy and espresso are also very present. Full bodied, viscous, and palate coating. Very dry bitter finish.

One of their better beers, a well bodied porter, pretty cleanly brewed. A good, but not spectacular porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle poured into a snifter. Pours black with about 2 fingers of dark tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasty malt. Taste is light bitter. Starts with coffee and chocolate and ends with some nice piney hops. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Soft carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, very good. I would gladly drink this again.
