Bottle: Light amber color with a modest sandy head. Faint aroma is malty, but has this odd scent that I relate to Elmers’ Glue. Flavor is sweet and malty with a little fruitiness. Finishes dry and almost chalky. Fuck! More Elmers... I just couldn’t get past the odd gluey thing going on here.

Location: A friend gave me a 12 oz bottle, I believe it was purchased at a Total Wine in NoVA...it came out of a 6 beer 12 bottle Tommyknocker sampler.
5/3/09
Aroma: Light malty nose, a little toasted grains, caramel, some fruit
Appearance: Coppery orange color, hazy-clear, thin, off-white head
Flavor: Flavor is mostly malty sweetness with mix of malt flavors
Palate: A decent mouthfeel, medium body
Overall Impression: Some decent characteristics for a lager, not a bad beer, but I guess I liked it better then most of the previous raters. I liked a lot of the way this beer works for its style.

Pours an amber read color with a off-white head. Taste is some roastiness and some caramel sweetness, but at the same time it is pretty crisp and very drinkable. Body is not too light and as such is a nice filling feeling.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was tangy, sweetish, malty and a touch vegetal. The flavor was sour, tangy and vegetal malts with a long sour vegetal finish. Eh.

Bottle. Although the label says \"Amber lager,\" pour is more like a dark, dark amber (or maybe tarnished penny color). Head is minimal and aromas are of sweet malts and dust. I recoiled from the first sip... don’t know if it hit me just wrong or what, but things got better after tht. Still, flavors are a dull mix of sweet malts and a bit of a spice presence. I’m not sure if I’m broken or what, but I’m just not appreciating this very much.

Yes, ornery is certainly appropriate here. Yeasty bready dough smell, sometimes quite aromatic. Taste is rather raw. A little obtuse on the bitterness. Difficult to enjoy once it starts to warm. Orange brown in color. ong lingering medicinal bitterness on the finish. No way is this an american dark lager. More like a IPA or stronger APA. If it is an ADL, it’s one of the lest enjoyable I’ve had. Probably an insult to the style I affectionally know as gentle american dark lager.

Bottle from a sampler. Reddish amber pour with almost no head. Sweet grainy aroma with notes of lime, toffee and maybe a little coconut. Very grainy taste with some off flavors. Caramel and citrus notes. Thick mouthfeel.

Bottle. (courtesy of Papsoe) Orange-golden, hazy beer with a beige head. Quite fruity-sweet nose with some caramel-like notes. The flavor is fruity, with orange and some maltyness. Medium body. A quite refreshing beer. (071006)

Lightly caramelized aroma, with what I almost think is a phenolic touch, perhaps somewhat soapy. Flavor is equally caramel-soapy with just a hint of bubble gum. Semi-sweet finish. Kinda weird. Copper color, huge almost gushing head formed a thick meringue. This initially gave the impression it might be infected, and some of the unusual phenolic like flavors might just be part of that.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Slightly hazy, amber golden with a dense, off-white head. Lightly sweetish, fruity nose with a somewhat herbal touch. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, some fruits and caramel and a very subdued bitterness. 061007
