Bottled. Poured Brown, mild head, a bit watery. Malty and nutty aroma and pretty standard for a brown ale.

Bottle. Excellent beer. Taste is dark, malty with just the right balance of hops that is not overpowering. Aroma is toasty, coffee with some source. Nice dark brown color and tan head.

Bottle at Cactus. Nice, caramel, light hop bitterness, bit of light spice. Nice and easy drinking. Soy sauce.

Clear, dark chestnut with a dark beige head that recedes fairly quickly to a light cover.
Nose is malty with a good mix of base malt and lightly toasted, lightly roasty dark malts creating a light coffee-caramel character as bits of molasses and dark fruit are noted, as well. Hops are quite present, though not overbearing, adding wintergreen, spruce, light pine and grapefruit. Almost approaching black IPA-like, though not quite that hoppy or roasty. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it's a bit sweeter than expected, with lots of caramel-like malt character, light roast/toast to bring balance and citrusy, lightly piney hops. Soft texture with moderate carbonation and no alcohol or flaw. Yeah, it's a hoppy brown ale and gets a little too sweet to drink too many of them, even with the hop bitterness. But it's pretty solid; far better than your average bore-you-to-death brown ale.

Decent hybrid brown ale, with the roasted malt char and moderate bitterness of an American version of the style, and more traditional English deep nuttiness and mild yeast and apple notes. Hints of unsweetened chocolate and floral bitterness closes out the fade. Not particularly deep in any of its parts, but a nice alternative to sweet marzen malt bombs.

Kwg at the Kings Arms. A clear ruby red brown coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is subdued, little brown bread, sugars, light floral hop, pollen. . Flavour is composed of Base malts, light toasted malts, faint pine, floral hop, brown sugars. Palate is semi sweet, semi crisp, medium bodied. Easy going brown ale.

Pours a rich black with an off-white head from a bottle. Aroma of rich malts, mostly chocolate, with some faint cola. Flavor similar, rich and malty but not overly sweet, well-balanced. Pretty good beer.
